There are so many options it is often daunting and difficult to know which way to turn. Finding that focus is often the key to you starting your transition.
If you are not sure which way to turn, try this simple method: Sign up to Monster or Total Jobs. Click all the sectors that interest you. You will start to receive job e-mails from these sectors. Start by un-filtering the sectors that you do not fancy. Very soon you will be down to a few sectors that appeal to you.
Then simply go to the sector institutes and ask questions regarding work opportunities, type of training courses, salary expectations etc.
You now have a focus.... it is not about finding a direction... but eliminating those that you don't want...
