The Background History

Advanced Safety Training Services was formed in 1992 and has maintained a steady growth since then. The ASTS concept is simple. Professional training, run by professional trainers, for professional people, striving to maintain the excellent standards already achieved in the fields of first aid training, fire training, health and safety and security training, that ASTS has built its reputation on.

Originally set up to run the local authority Door Supervisor courses, we quickly gained accreditation with the HSE to teach and examine all forms of First Aid training along with Fire & Evacuation training, and now all current forms of Approved security training through our Edexcel accreditation.

The Door Supervisors we supply are trained to the latest national standards and licensed to meet with the new SIA legislation. We have been providing trained, professional security personnel to such companies as First Leisure, Bass, JD Wetherspoon, Yates''s Wine Lodges and A.M.F. Bowling for over 14 years.

Our client base for the Training Services area of our business is rapidly growing. We have supplied training courses in the fields of Health and safety, First Aid, Manual Handling & Fire Safety on a regular basis to organisations such as BMI (including H.M. Prison Service), CAPITA, HM Forces, Marconi Services, The Lord Chancellor''s Department, Cabinet Office, Tate & Lyle, London Fire Brigade, Vosper Thorneycroft and many smaller organisations all over the U.K.
